Hello!
Welcome back. In Part 4, we talked about keeping your site running smooth with maintenance and looking at your traffic data. Today, we are talking about how to actually get that traffic in the first place using SEO.
SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization. In plain English, it just means making tweaks to your website so that Google understands what you do and shows your site to people searching for it.
You could have the most beautiful website in the world, but if it’s sitting on page 10 of Google, no one is ever going to see it.
To get into more detail… here is how we optimize a site to get found:
- Keywords: We find the exact words and phrases your clients are typing into Google (like “web design near me”) and naturally weave them into your text and headings.
- Site Speed: Google hates slow websites. Making sure your images are compressed and your code is clean helps your site load fast, which ranks you higher.
- Mobile Friendly: More than half of all web traffic comes from phones. If your site looks messy on mobile, Google will push you down the search results.
Good SEO doesn’t happen overnight, but building a solid foundation from the start makes a huge difference.
