I got into 3D printing a few months ago, and honestly, I can’t imagine not having it now. I’m not an engineer or inventor — just someone who loves learning, building, and solving everyday problems. With the Bambu Lab A1, getting started was easier than I expected, and now I use it almost every day.
I didn’t buy the printer to make prototypes or run a business. I wanted to explore, create useful things, and enjoy the process — and the A1 has been perfect for that. It’s fast, easy to set up, and super beginner-friendly. The auto bed leveling, built-in camera, and clean interface make it feel almost effortless.
Here’s what I’ve printed so far:
- A wall hook for my PS5 controller
- A phone stand that folds flat
- Vase
- Scissors
It’s amazing how many little things you can create that make your day-to-day life better. I used to just deal with small problems or buy cheap plastic solutions online. Now, I just print what I need — made exactly how I want it.
The Bambu Lab A1 is especially great for beginners like me because:
- It comes mostly assembled and works right out of the box
- The AMS Lite (multi-color add-on) is easy to use from what I heard.
- The prints are super clean — no weird stringing or warping when you use basic settings
- It’s fast. Seriously fast. A print that used to take hours on my friend’s older printer finishes in half the time on mine
For slicing, I use Bambu Studio — it’s easy to learn and has great presets. I didn’t need to tweak a lot to get beautiful prints, and the preview mode helps me avoid mistakes before they happen.
What I’ve Learned So Far:
- PLA is the easiest to work with — and perfect for most prints
- Good bed adhesion = happy prints
- You don’t need to print big to make something useful
- 3D printing is way more fun when you’re solving your own problems
